KELLYVILLE, Ok. -- Two new first time winners emerged at Creek County Speedway Saturday after light rain threatened to stop the show earlier in the evening.

Rob Forehand picked up his first career sprint car victory while Jason Teague won the modified main event in his first visit of the season to the fast Creek County quarter mile oval.

Forehand battled with Zach Beeler before finally taking command of the sprint car feature on lap 12. The two ran wheel-to-wheel on lap 11 then Forehand shot out front. Forehand raced unchallenged the final eight laps to win over Beeler and Frank Sudduth in third. Eric Pittman led the first lap before the red waved on lap two for Ricky York who took a hard tumble in turn two. York was not hurt and Pittman resumed the lead on the restart with Beeler close behind. After a lap eight restart Beeler raced into the lead and on lap nine Forehand passed Sudduth for second. Forehand then ran down Beeler.

Teague was making his first start of the season at Creek County and started near the rear of the modified 20-lap feature. But that was not about to slow down the 2006 NCRA Modified rookie of the Year. Leroy Cook, Jr. was leading over Rusty Wiseley when the yellow came out on lap 13. Teague, who passed Wiseley for second on lap 11, quickly pulled inside of Cook on the restart and the two raced side-by-side. Teague pulled ahead in turn two of lap 14. Cook was not able to keep pace and finished second. Ashley Baskett turned in his best modified finish with a strong third place.

B.J. Frohnapfel has a perfect record going at Creek County Speedway this season and the record remained intact after scoring a victory in the super stock 'A' feature. Frohnapfel won the season opener in April then did not return to race again until Saturday. The result was Frohnapfel's second victory in two attempts. Frohnapfel had to reel in points leader Trent McBride who jumped out to a quick lead from his front row starting position. coming from a 14th starting position, Frohnapfel caught McBride on lap three and shot into the lead out of turn two a lap later. McBride remained in second while defending champion Jason Holt was trying to hold off B.J.'s dad, Billy Frohnapfel, for third. Billy put strong pressure on Holt but it was not enough to keep Holt from third by the slimmest of margins.

Rick McKinney won for the seventh time in the front wheel drive bomber main event. McKinney tried to find a way around early leader Shelly Leonard for several laps but each time Leonard would shut the door. Finally on lap 13 McKinney made the pass for the lead. A four car battle was shaping up in the final laps with Nick Gauntt charging into second and Phil Martin moved into third dropping early leader Leonard to fourth.

The super stock division will be off on Saturday and mini stocks return along with FWD Bombers, modifieds and sprints. The annual Faster Pastor race will be held with church pastors from though out the area trying their hand at driving a race car. Race time is 7:30.
